"Imagine a room in
Venice. Reflected light from the canal outside dances on
the walls and ceiling. Hamlyn creates an effect something
like this with a machine suspended from the gallery
ceiling which projects a "slide" consisting of water
circulating between two thick glass lenses on to the
gallery wall. Inconsequentially, perhaps, the streaming
white light reminded me on a small scale of Monet's
supremely decorative series based on his water gardens at
Giverny."
Richard Dormant, The
Daily Telegraph.
